Lease mileage options for the way you drive
Ally’s SmartLease leasing program is an open road to how much – or how little – you like to drive.
Choose the mileage package that fits your needs:
- Standard – good to go for 15,000 miles per year. Hint: avoid excess charges at the end of your lease term by staying within your yearly mileage allowance.
- Extra – if you think you’ll drive more than 15,000 miles yearly, you can purchase extra miles up front. This saves you from having to pay a higher per-mile fee at the end of your lease. Plus, you may be eligible for a credit for unused miles, as stated in your lease agreement.
- Low – for drivers of 12,000 miles or less. Which means a lower monthly lease payment. Keep costs down by staying within your yearly mileage allowance.
What if I go over my mileage during my lease term?
Before you settle on a mileage limit, carefully evaluate how much you plan to drive regularly – factor in family trips, vacations, emergencies, etc.
If you go over your mileage limit, you’ll have to pay for the excess mileage, based on the excess-mileage fee in your lease contract.
You may not purchase extra miles during your lease term.
