Had a 5 yr. cd ladder set up to a brand new account in less than 30 minutes. Online chat was fast and easy with a question I had, customer service was great. My other bank requires a minimum $5k deposit per cd, I don't have that kind of money! This is great, I can start small and still end up big down the road, thank you!

with low penalties it is very liquid investment paying guaranteed high rate. It is not the highest CD rate on the market but what makes it perfect is a very low early withdrawal fees. With 5-year term you cannot go wrong

I have a 1 year CD that matured today. I decided to change to a 5 year CD. Now this was something that I believe that should be able to be handled by me through the on line system. Unfortunately, that's not the case. I needed to talk to a service rep via the phone. This is not my idea of good online service. Cleta

I would continue to bank with Ally for the customer service alone. Dial that number and instantly you are connected with a friendly knowledgeable person who speaks CLEARLY. Not that I need to use customer service much since their online service is top notch... only when my CD's mature to renew at the bonus rate and add more!! And of course there is the fact that their high yield CD rates have been the highest you can find for over 3 years now. I've tried so many online banks... too many to name. They all pull you in with high rates but the service is horrible and the rates end up dropping so you have to transfer your money. Eventually I ended up moving all my money to Ally because both their rates and service (so far) can't be beat. By far the best bank I have ever used... online or brick and mortar. Keep it up Ally!!
