In these hard economic times I was looking for a place to put my money that would earn the best interest rates available. I found it in Ally. Our goal is to save and invest and Ally gives us all the options that we need.

Your correspondence is misleading and very poorly worded. Most of your 'customer service' reps are not banking people at all, just telephone reps. You do not follow through with what is sent out in your correspondence. I have had a lot of trouble with this bank, not true with any other bank

XXX Bank from what I can tell has the best rates around. I am thinking of switching but I am very comfortable at Ally. Still I wish the rates were better. Rich

For an on-line account with paperless statements I sure get a lot of paperwork, why do a need paper account disclosures every time UI open another Ally CD?

We've looked for the best interest rates during this bad economy, and Ally has, by far, the highest rates of all financial institutions. Depositing was easy, opening the accounts were a breeze, and their customer service was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone!

Products you offer are good. Service is not. It takes 30 minutes to open a CD in nearly all banks. It takes you days. Meanwhile the customer loses interest. Why is that??

I like banking with Ally but recently I been having to open online accounts at other institutions in order to maximize my rate of return. Ally used to have among the best rates, they would aggressively match other banks rates to equal or better other offers, but within the last year and a half Ally’s rates are taking a back seat to other online institutions. Opening an account and transferring funds in and out is a piece of cake, but I dislike the hassle of having to scan the competition on a monthly basis to see who is offering the best rates. I sure wish they would become more competitive like they where previously.

I've been banking with Ally for a few years now, and their products are great! They always offer to bump my rates up at maturity on all of my CD products, so my money just keeps growing & growing. I feel good about investing with them, especially given how lagging & unpredictable the stock market has been.

I am a senior citizen & was very impressed with the wonderful professional service received. The reps were patient & knowledgeable. Best of all 24/7 contact is available. When communicating with them, it reminded me of " the good old days" when banks valued their customers & treated them with respect. Allly Bank lets you know you are doing them a favor and not the other way around. In todays times, this attitude is lacking in many banks.

Why the low rates compared to other banks?
