I have been impressed with the consistantly higher APY's offered by Ally. I have gone to other banks and have spoken to the bankers about my interests rates. It was like a commercial, they wanted to know all the information to check it out themselves.

My only problem is that I have to call to set up new CD accounts. I set-up a 6 CD ladder and for each account I was not able to set the CD up online but had to call. The customer service people were helpful and friendly but I should be able to do this myself all online. The interest rates are competitive, the transfer and hold times on new deposits via internet are fast and short and I could not be happier with that part of Ally. All in all, I'm pleased and would be even more enthuastic if I could just set up new CD's without having to do it by phone.

The internet blocks me out repeatedly. The service would be ok if I could only get on line to do my business without have to make calls to get into my account. I can't buy a POD on line, I have to sign in an do it on line I am told but I can't sign in. I should have known better than to open any more accounts with you.

banks could find new names-no interest rates are HI any more. U can bet that the bump ups wont go up-its a sales gimmick. Please place the true value on the main page, account summary. I have to go to each individual cd- back and forth to find the accrued interest. I realize there are early withcrawal penalties-I still like to check the ongoing current accrual-and APY real current earnings. Thanks!

This was my first time opening a CD and from the prompt response time by customer service to the ease of opening the account, I am thoroughly impressed with Ally Bank. The online Correspondence that I sent was replied to by an actual person and they fixed the problem. I love this bank and I wish there were brick-and-mortar branches. :)

Nothing of your online opening of accounts is right, I have made numerous phone calls, I have 2 accounts and neither acts the same. Same info for both accounts but I receive info for one not the other, or two different things though the accounts are both the same> funny now you've even changed this complaint forum, use to be you would call though I never received a call now its oh will email right

I have been trying to open a 5 year cd since 9/2/11. It has been very difficult from a process standpoint and today I learned, that although I was told it was funded, the transfer of money has still not occurred. Although your rates are among the best, the difficulty in the process and misinformation I have been given has caused me to lose confidence in Ally. I am closing my account and taking my business elsewhere.

It would be great if the 'my accounts' page included a column for current interest rate on each CD. I have multiple CDs with different interest rates and maturity dates and like to keep track of my market investments.

Needed a trust account and this led me to Ally--I'm so glad. Standard stuffy banks that offer trust accounts don't offer Ally's juicy online-bank rates or 24-hour live info and help or kind staffers. I keep finding new ways Ally can help me, like the no-ATM-fee thing. I no longer have to keep a small account just for the ATM in my building. I think Ally offers a maximal combination of all the things various other banks and kinds of banks offer plus some things only Ally seems to offer. I really do love my bank!.
