Ally banking is good except for the recent move to force a paperless system on customers. Leave the choice for conventional statements.

The Ally High Yield CD rate is very good. What makes it GREAT is the CD Renewal bonus. And what makes it SUPER is the customer service agent telling me about it, instead of me fishing for it.

I received a lower apy instead of the agreed upon apy because ally had problems with their verify procedure. It took several calls, chats, and emails to finally get the money transferred into the cds. Ally's delay put me outside the 10 day rate guarantee. So I am the one who suffers for ally's poor customer service.

-It took well over a week between when I saw Ally make its deposit/withdrawal into the account I was trying to verify and begin able to key those numbers into Ally's site. -I was told by an Ally customer service rep that I could only have 1 CD per account and could only have 1 account for my name. Even if this isn't the case all the user interface points to it as well. If this is the case this is completely worthless as I was hoping to get multiple CDs every year with differing terms/schedule.
