My favorite part of banking with Ally is their excellent customer service. It is super convenient to chat with an online representative. Usually I end up learning something I didn't even ask about. The telephone customer service was excellent too. The representative made sure my issue was 100% resolved before ending our call. The rates for Ally CD's have historically been the best and the ease of rolling them over makes them even better.

Although I am generally happy with Ally and have recommended them to many, I am very disappointed with the renewal process for the CDs. Ally sends you a reminder that the CD is coming up for renewal a month in advance and then again within a couple of weeks. The problem? You don't know the rates until the renewal actually occurs and there is no email to let you know the time frame Ally used for the automatic renewaal and the rate they are offerring on the date of renewal. If you are out of town or busy that week, you are out of luck. I now have 2 CD's maturing on the same date and that can't be fixed. It would have been nice to recieve an email on the date that the CD expired with the current rates. Getting warning emails a month in advance was not helpful at all!!

Trying to open this CD was a disaster. It took 12 days to fund the CD after information from funding account was given and I lost the rate. When I called three times, they back dated the CD, but not as far back as promised. Very dissatisfied.

It would be very helpful to maintain a CD Ladder if CDs in account could be organized by maturity date.

Ally has been my on line bank for years and offers the best interest rates by far! Have not found any other bank that compares to the products or services. Even chat staff is excellent!

Ally has consistently offered the best rates for CD's, while also rating among the most stable banks. This is the reason why I maintain my CD's with them. Compare for yourself.

The Ally Bank website is very user friendly. Service has been great, deposits are quick, and communication has never left any doubt as to where my funds are. Have already opened a second account online with Ally Bank. Recommend highly.

Hello i like doing business w/u-- BUT its hard to find the CD rates please post them on more than 1 page--LIKE on account page at bottom or right side--u would sell more----i cant find them when i sign on, NOR on my account for the $$. rj Semper Fi

WATCH OUT FOR RENEWALS!!
