They dazzle you with no fees, but heres the problem: how do you get money into your account? Sure they will take your money and "Post it" but it wont be available for withdraw until two to nine business days later. We live in a fast paced world two weeks can make or break the average person and the way they decide the length of the hold is completely arbitrary, For this reason and poor customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere after this failed experiment.

I have a money market account with Ally and have been very impressed with the speed of transfers, availibility of customer service and the ease of having all this at home. I recently had my third "bad business" encounter with the bank I have had Ally checking and had only one thought - "WHY DID I TAKE SO LONG TO MAKE THE SWITCH?" I will recommend Ally to anyone. Banking headaches are over! I love ALLY

Every phone call to Ally takes hours. The small % of interest that is offered does not out weight the aggravation caused by every aspect of doing business with them. Whether it is bill pay, making a deposit, or holding checks until the second coming, they refer to the "Deposit Agreement" you get when an account is opened. All this leads nowhere other than a huge waste of time. The only advantage is Ally Bank is employing people in America to answer the phone.

Why doesn't everyone bank with Ally? As a matter of fact, why did I just recently find out about Ally?

You should check out online banking other banks provide. Yours are not easy to use.

I travel for a living. So, I moved most of my money from Wells Fargo accounts to Ally Bank. I use online savings, interest checking, direct paycheck deposit, and online bill pay. The only issue that I've had is that the bill-pay screens don't look good in Linux OS. But--they're getting better each month. After 2 years, I can say this: no postage stamps, no envelopes, no missed payments, no overdraft fees, interest on checking, interest on savings. Results show I gave myself a $600 per year raise just by switching banks! Thanks Ally!

I switched to Ally because my previous credit union had terrible saving interests rates and started charging a three dollar a month fee. Due to this I opened a money market savings account and wanted to do business with just one bank. So far very pleased with Ally. I also like getting free checks. I also have a auto loan with Ally.

Impossible to get money into account for Withdraw
