I have had a couple of unusual things happen to me (like my atm card being cloned) and Allys service and help was amazing.

I tried to add another owner to the account and was given the run around of my life. I was told we have the paperwork and it will be done by next week. Well, next week never made it. after a month I gave up and opened an account at a bank I could walk into. Never again!!!

There are a couple things I wish I could customize, ie, turning off emails (New Payee Added, Payment in Process). I've set up a filter so they don't clutter my inbox. Also sorting by date on the Payment Activity screen. You can sort so the most recent are first but can't make it stick. Ally needs to be more user-friendly to compete with other banks. PS - I did talk to Customer Service about these two things and asked that they be put on a to-do list.

Ally is always available and always responsive when you need customer service. It was super easy to open an account. The only thing that is inconvenient is that deposits don't get posted for a few days.

I have hated every bank I have ever used until I used Ally. The account is simple and to the point. The customer service is amazing, I actually enjoyed my call. Keep it up!!

The online bill pay service is not on par with other bank sites and while the savings account features are good, the day to day check-writing features are lacking. Hopefully, Ally can move into the mainstream banking arena in the near future.

VERY Slow on first deposit. New customer or not it should never take weeks for a deposit to post available. I do hope this changes once im no longer a "New Customer". If i had known prior to joining that new members deposits are held longer for the first month, i would have simply moved on to somewhere else. Other than that everything else is perfect.

The concept is great, but their implementation has much to be desired. Too buggy and glitchy for my taste. I've had to call their customer support 3 times now over stupid things that shouldn't be an issue. I'll keep this account open, but I'll be going with the competition for my primary account.
