Opening an online checking account with Ally is a great idea. The rates are among the best in the industry, and you always have easy access to your money wtth the mobile banking application and ATM fee reimbursement.

I am very pleased with Ally Bank. Opening the interest checking account was easy and done right from home on my own computer. The interest rate is the highest around and I checked on many other banks. Their external transfer feature works like a charm. My one concern and it is not that upsetting is that Customer Service Chat is not available 24/7. I prefer to chat or email rather than call on the phone. I chatted online prior to opening the account and the service there was great. It was also great once I opened the account and chatted. The reps were very knowledge and gave me information that other bank reps did not know the answer to like the difference between POD and ITF. Other banks say are the same thing, but legally they are not and ALLY bank reps explained this to me in great detail right away. I was not set aside while chatting and they made me feel like I was their only customer. Highly recommend this bank.

I am a new Ally customer and have had several conversations by phone with the Ally customer service department and I don't normally write reviews however in this case I am compelled to rate Ally Bank's CS as beyond excellent!! Thank you for each of your friendliness, knowledge of account questions I had and overall being so easy to do business with!

When my bank announced charging to have a debit card I decided it was time to leave tthem. I found Ally and decided to try them. What the heck? Little did I know this would prove to be the best search and find for me ever. I have been nothing but satisfied with every aspect of Ally. They do what they say and I love the no debit card fees thing. Terrific customer service. It's there when needed.

Simply awesome. No ATM fees and no Bill Pay fees. Great customer service, easy to set up an account over the phone. Awesome web site. Pretty soon I might be doing all my banking with Ally.

I have never had a smooth process online. I take pics front and back as per instructions and they are never uploaded. then I go thru telephone customer service. Takes me about 40 minutes to deposit a check. Then it takes 10 days for the checks to clear. Horrible HOrrible horrible

It would be helpful if every pending transfer in and out of an account and any bill pays that are set up showed up on the page as pending without having to go looking for them. That way no one forgets how much they have already committed and overspends. One of your competitors has an outstanding web site that lays it all out so you can't overlook it. Otherwise I am very happy with your service and interest rates and I look forward to continued banking with Ally.
