While the rates are fair, given market conditions, it would be nice for them to be higher. Opening the account and linking it to our primary checking account for transferring funds was seamless. This is our first experience with an online only account and it was a little scary to send a large sum of money to a cloud bank, but so far so good. Good Job Ally.

Whenever I can I tell people about Ally! Really you have the best rates! great rates really! wonderfully low fees and you are so nice you refunded an small overdraft fee because the account was made positive in a few days! Unheard of! The daily compounding is wonderful and you are the only one that does it!! Most people have no idea of that advantage and I educate them; The refund of atm fees is wonderful; AND you really can call 24/7 and get a( not meaning to sound inappropriate but ) an person native to the US to talk to you!!! Great service; please don't EVER change!!

By far, this has been the easiest and most understanding bank I have worked with for a really long time! Their customer service is always friendly and ready to help every time I have a question I have about an account. They are awesome!! The rates are better than the leading national banks and every little bit helps in this economy!! Thanks for the service Ally Bank!!

I normally don't come across a truly wonderful banking experience like i have with Ally Bank. I also don't normally write reviews unless i'm complaining ;). I've been an Ally customer for about 4 months and its been a true pleasure. I have the easiest to use, most recent iphone and ipad apps to help me navigate through my accounts and customer service is only a chat away. That's the best, they're quick and extremely helpful....and not to mention they have the best interest rates in the COUNTRY. I have all my banking and cadillac leases with Ally and hope to be a longtime customer. Thanks again.

Great website...very informative about your account...no minimum balance required. Deposits are easy using scan on our machine. Excellent rate.

The best feature is no ATM fees at any ATM and high savings rate for the Money Market account. I thought about signing up for Sallie Mae's Money Market account because it offered a slightly higher savings rate but when I read the fine print, the number of free ATMs were very limited. I didn't think the saving interest rate difference was worth this inconvenience. However, I liked that Sallie Mae had mobile check deposit. I wish Ally had this feature. I don't really scan my checks on a home computer. I wish I can simply take a photo of my check and deposit my check on my mobile, similar to Chase's mobile check deposit.
