Everything about Ally Bank has been wonderful from original sign up to any follow up customer service. ATM reimbursement also a big help in this day of excessive fees and charges. Ally Bank is streamlined, efficient, easy to navigate and a look at the future of banking.

High rates, but after reviewing other comments, in particular notes about hold times and 'calculation errors' in interest, as well as a cumbersome website and strange on/off ability to edit account settings, I have decided NOT to bank with Ally, and have block all pending transfers. I'm posting 1 1/2 stars, as the site is clunky, I can't edit/change what I need, get not response from customer service, and all this gives me a 'bad feeling' about putting a large sum here - perhaps I'm being unfair, but am not willing to take the risk for a few basis points.

Overall I am very satisfied with my decision to move my savings to an Ally Money Market account. There was a minor hiccup with initially funding the account, but Ally's customer service professionals resolved my issue in a very timely manner (the great customer service by itself made the move worthwhile). Also, the interest rate is phenomenal compared to those offered by other financial institutions that I have used in the past. My only complaint is that Ally's mobile banking solutions are pretty weak compared to the competition. Most national banks are offering features like mobile check deposit (taking a picture of a check with your phone in order to deposit it) by now, and Ally is lagging behind in this regard. In my opinion though, the great interest rate and the fantastic customer service make up for Ally's shortcomings in the mobile banking arena.

It's so easy with ALLY to transfer funds from my MMA to my Checking account to pay bills when they are due. Otherwise, I leave all my funds in the MMA to gain interest. And with e-deposit, it's also easy to deposit funds - I have availability the next business day! ALLY makes it easy.

Am new customer and was unable to access our acccount. Was "talked" thru process by Dell (?) newly wed customer service lady. She was simply fantastic. If I ever have a problem I would want to have her assistance!!!!!!!

Flawless service, live help whenever I need it, questions answered clearly, no long menu-driven phone tree, and I love the ease of the online banking site. Please, just keep this up!
