This is more of a comment than it is a review. For an "online bank" why are you required to call them to open an account even after you have gone through all the steps on their websites? Either allow me to open an account on your site or don't. If that is the process why not just require all new accounts to be created by phone instead both phone & internet. It seems silly and unnecessary to me.

I have tried to get checks for my Money Market account repeatedly but they never send them. Plus, I almost paid a LOT of interest because they rejected an electronic check even though I had the routing number and account number. Depositing money is a pain. It takes forever and their electronic system is a massive hassle with a scanner and graphic editing program (check has to be scanned to an EXACT pixel dimension front and back). Overall, I am VERY frustrated with Ally Bank right now.

i tell all my friends to join Ally Bank, I LOVE THIS BANK MY DAD WAS A MEMBER WITH ALLY AND HE TOLD ME TO JOIN, I never regret joining this bank has no ptobems at all

Ally Bank has, a outstanding system, when calling by phone, the customer reps, are very informed, and very, polite and offer additional assitance. thus far the best bank, I have ever had an account . this encludes, credit unions. your banking system is just what I need, at this point in my life. Thank You Ally BANK once again great system, and outstanding customer reps.

Opening my Money Market account was simple enough. Though I started the process online and ultimately had to call to complete it, this ended up being a good thing because I learned how fantastic Ally's Customer Service is. My call was answered quickly, the person I spoke to actually had a personality (a pleasant one, at that), and she had my new account up and running in just a couple of minutes. I've been a customer for about ten minutes and I'm already impressed enough to write a review.
