This is my first bank i have ever open by myself. So i opened a money marketing account. The bank did not inform me that you can only use your credit card four times a mouth. And if you go over that limit you are charged 10 dollars every time used. and if you keep doing that they don't tell that all of a sudden i am 80 dollars short. that is a major issue that i had but thats the only one...

Your rates have gone so bad I moved most of my money and will move more. Tiaa and Amtrust pay MUCH better and now get my future business.

I've had various Ally accounts and CDs for several years now. They are fine if all you need is a descent rate of interest. But their customer service is terrible. It took them 2 weeks and multiple requests to send me (via mail... no email or fax) a copy of a cancelled check. I was buying a house and requested a wire to escrow. They said their wire department was busy and it would take up to 48 hours to process. I wasn't able to close my house purchase on time. I only use them for CDs now (little customer service needed on a regular basis). If you need an actual bank, this isn't one.

Ally bank is simple with lots of free and good services. My money market account allows me free access to my money anywhere anytime with free checks or ATM! All while earning interest. There are no restrictions, or limitations, or rules like other banks have about me using my money and getting an interest rate at the same time. Truly upfront and good!

I would recommend this bank a million times over. I switched from BofA and it is a world of difference. With the rates the way they are now, Ally is definitely my first choice!

I'm a 28 year old woman who works retail and let's face facts, saving these days on a low-income is brutal. I remember reading Suze Orman's book, "Women and Money," and she did mention getting a high-interest savings account. When I saw Ally's rate, I thought I'd earn more with them as opposed to my bank I have checking with. It was painless to get started and I have been happy ever since. I really think I can reach my savings goal with Ally's Money Market account.

i just ordred checks for my mma and failed to see how much checks costs. so i went to live chat and found out it doesnt cost anything im very happy with that

I think Ally Bank is the Best bank I have ever dealt with in regards to customer service and their products. I have been in the banking industry for over 20 years and have yet to find such a fine institution for its products and excellent customer service. I would defintely recommend Ally to anyone interested in honest and excellent banking. keep up the excellent work. Manny

Descent rates, really bad customer service
