I was looking to put tax refund into a good savings account. I tried EverBank first - they were a disaster. I"m glad I stumbled on Ally and called them next - the Ally representative was about as competent and pleasant as can be. This gives me much confidence in Ally bank. I hope the executives at Ally treat their employees well.

I selected Ally Bank because their money market rate is much higher than Wells Fargo Bank.

When making internet transfers from outside bank accounts to Ally, there is a very long hold period for the money. Why is it that when I make a debit card transaction or write a check, the money is immediately available to the payee; yet, when I transfer money between my own accounts it sits on hold for 2 to 5 days? This should change. So customer's that are providing money to Ally aren't being penalized on earning interest. That hold period only means that Ally doesn't have to pay the consumer interest.

I opened my Money Market Account back in October of last year. I have not had any problems that the customer service reps could not handle. They are great and can answer any question you have. At this point the interest rate is great. I feel in-charge when I do my online banking and I feel that I am saving for the future or for an emergency! GOD FORBID and emergency but this account is great to have.

We recently got married and we are saving money for those unexpected emergencies. We never know when Murphy will show up. We are also saving for our first home.

I had absolutely no problems opening this money market account today. Tonight I was notified that my funding from my reg. bank is on the way. I would reccommend them to anyone.

Please improve the amount of time it takes to transfer money in-and-out to an outside account. You're an online bank so it should be faster since you don't have a physical bank that we can go to to get our money out in a hurry. I currently bank with Emigrant Bank as well and they take 1 business day. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that until this improves, I will not move all of my money to your bank. Even though your interest rates are very good, we want to be able to have to access to our money quickly just in case of an emergency. Thank you.

I opened my Money Market Account back in October of last year. I have not had any problems that the customer service reps could not handle. They are great and can answer any question you have.
