I find the online interface more intuitive than my local bank's interface. The rates on the MMA are about 3-4X the rate for a comparable MMA at a "Regions-al" bank. I highly recommend this type of account for a savings/MMA account. I am personally more inclined to still deal with a local bank for checking.

Everything I read on the web about how easy it is to open an Ally account were true. Great customer support and love the website. Great rates on the MM as well.

Ally's customer service was not able to solve my banking issue and did not demonstrate any flexibility/creativity to do so in an exceptional situation. They apply rigid policies that fly in the face of reason, which I guess is the trade-off to their above-average interest rates.

I mailed a deposit on Dec 23rd and it was not posted until Jan 10th. Even with the holidays, that should not happen!

Wish I'd known that there would be a two to three day hold placed on electronic transfer deposits. I would like holds to not be placed on my electronic transfers when I have sufficient balances to cover the dollar amount of the transfer. This is not something I experience when using local banks.

I needed a new account for medical expenses only. I searched the internet and was amazed at your bank. Not only did I get the best interest rate but you made the process easy to set up. I will be the first to admit I am not great at computers so thanks. Also the free debit card is really going to come in handy.
