I followed the FAQ & used online chat to close my CD ( I had a large payment due in 6 days). The representative said my funds would be available in one or two business days. After six days, four calls, two online chats, two e-mails & three promises that my case had been "escalated" I finally got my funds into my checking (just hours before my payment was due). The apology & excuse that they had high volume is not acceptable. It's poor customer service. I'm moving my accounts.

I can transfer my money into my Ally Account in a matter of minutes. When I want to get it out, "well that'll be a few business days" or you can send them a form by fax for a wire transfer but I tried that twice and they just say we never received it. I ask if I can email it to someone and they say we can't give out our email addresses it has to be faxed. I ask how can I get confirmation it was received and they say "call us after a few hours and we'll check to see if we got it". Guess what! I call and "Please hold" "please hold" "please hold" and an hour later "no we can't find it" STAY AWAY!!! Transferred my money out of ING in a matter of minutes

its great that there is someone available if I call but I don't want to have to call. I want to be able to do everything online. For instance, I would like to be able to decide ahead of time what happens to a cd when it matures.

This No Penalty CD is a great place to park short-term savings and the ability to withdraw anytime without penalties before 11 months. It stands as a good hedge against falling interest rates in similar online savings accounts. Great product, don't ever change it.

Great product gives me flexibilty with ahigher interest rate and so easy to open an account.

Please take a page from ING and allow your customers to rollover to new CD terms online without having to call. ie rollover a 1 yr CD to, for example 9 months.

Love this product! Rates being what they are, it give you great flexibility. Should add the raise your rate option to this product.

I needed some quick answers before deciding to renew my CD during the "grace" period. Coincidentally, a live, extremely knowledgable, friendly, personable, customer service rep by the same name (Grace) had them all. It was so refreshing to speak with a live person, without having to go through typical multiple automated, voice prompts and 20-minute waits. Ally's rates are the best hands down, so I will be renewing and adding some funds to my CD as well. Best customer service I've had in years! Please pass my commendations on to Grace's supervisor!

The Accounting Practice at Ally Bank is terrible. I am unable to reconcile the value of my CD since Monthly valuations are never posted. The "Activity" portion of the monthly statement always shows the same value for Beginning and Ending. It is utterly useless and stupid.. The website does not show the value of the CD which just matured or the beginning value of the CD which just commenced. Of the 6 or 7 banks I deal with only Ally has such flawed and incomprehensible accounting.

Your interest rates are not what they used to be. I realize that the industry rates are low as well, but yours are pretty much the same as many banks out there. You used to be much better about it, but not anymore other online banks beat your rates.
