Rates are good and you get a .25% bonus for renewing which is a great feature and a big reason for why i'm renewing.

Love the interest rates and the fact that they give a .25% interest rate bump up when you roll over a CD. The no penalty CD is the perfect place to park that "emergency fund" money. Yes, I wish that transfers in and out to my old fashioned "brick and mortor" bank were faster, but I'm willing to put up with that for the great rates and service I get from Ally.

1. It will be easier if I could log on directly to banking each time I try to log on. This doesn't happen even after I check the appropriate box, forcing me to choose all over again. A little bit of annoyance. 2.Sometimes the response to questions I post on the internet are not to the point. In my experience this happens when the questions are not read with care.

I chose this type of CD since I needed to know I could use the money just in case of an emergency. The rate is only slightly lower than the 12 month CD, but without any penalties associated with it.

When you request funds to be transfered out of an Ally account, the process too slow at doing so. It should not take DAYS to process !

The no penalty CD is perfect for short-term money "parking". It's also great to be able to open-up several smaller CD's and access each as you need them, without disturbing the others. I find it interesting that Ally's no-penalty CD rates are substantially higher than traditional CD's from many of their competitors. Certainly made an "Ally" out of me!

I just closed my accounts at ING, Citibank, and CapitalOne. Ally Bank beats them all. I keep waiting for a negative, but none ever appears. Right now, Ally is the best bank in America.

If you are a student and willing to save up some money in a short period of time no-penalty CD would be great for you. I have one and I always tell my friends to open one with ally.

I work for an actual brick and mortar bank, but where do I keep most of my money? Here at Ally Bank of course! You can't beat Ally for their excellent rates of return, no minimum balance or product requirements, ease of use, and great and quick customer service. I still have my accounts with my brick and mortar bank mainly because I work for them, but if/when I make a career change those accounts are being shut down.
