Opening a saving account with this bank was trouble free. The interest rates are the best rates around. I have recommended the bank to my sister .

What a pain in the butt to verify my account. After multiple tries to log in and verify my account I finally got hold of an agent who told me that my Safari browser wasn't supported. #Fail! Then when I went to verify my micro-deposits the email steps were different than the on-screen steps (not the actual names of the tabs you should click), resulting in more guessing. Other banks have made this a much more intuitive, user-friendly process. Ally is an online bank--you should be the experts at this. Not supporting my browser and having inconsistencies in your email-to-website is not cool.

Can't take cash out of my savings account, transfers between accounts take 3 days before money gets there, customer service just pretty much says "oh well, that's the way it is", not really much help at all! None of this was a problem with my other bank, I switched because there are no fees, but now I'm not sure it's worth the hassle!

As a long time online banker with ING Direct, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Ally Bank is now beating ING's current savings rate by a full quarter point. Also, considering that ING was recently bought out by Capital One, their savings rates immediately began to decline - no surprise. Ally Bank's account opening, funding, and customer service have all been flawless and superb. I'm happy with the change!

Love the interest rates, customer service is SOOOO easy to reach, so easy to talk to, and they answer any of your questions. I've literally called Ally Bank at 1am before, and they were happy to answer my simple questions, with no wait time - it's awesome. I have actually been able to save money in this account, and each month, you can see you are getting actual DOLLARS in interest, not just percentages of a cent...its really refreshing to see interest adding to my savings account each month. I suggest Ally Bank to everyone I meet, I've never had an issue, I have accounts with 4 different banks, and Ally is the best out of all of them. Next, I will be moving my CD over to them as well. In fact, the rates on my Savings account with Ally Bank are HIGHER than my rates with my other bank's 18-month CD...! Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!

It was so simple to open the online savings account. The ability to link it to my non-Ally account makes it easier to transfer funds and grow my savings. I wish I had opened this account sooner.

Super easy to open an account - almost all the verification was done online with just one piece paper to sign & mail. Website is very user friendly. Customer service is prompt & courteous. Interest rate is quite competitive. All in all, a hassle-free online savings account with surperior customer service to boot!

This was the easiest account opening experience. Took about 5 minutes. I am now getting 9 times the interest on a savings account.
