Everything from the interest rate to the customer service is top notch. I absolutely loved how simple it was to set everything up and plan to keep moving more of my money over into other products and services as I can. I was skeptical about it at first, but I have really grown to love it. Because of the fact that it takes a couple of days for my money to be put into the account and to come out of it, I have been forced to be more aware of my money and how it has been used. This has been a great tool for me in my savings and I cannot wait to expand into more areas of banking with Ally.

The account opening process is very simple. But the website is so basic.. maybe that's how they keep the interest low. No real neat web features. but service seems great thus far.

The additional interest became obvious when I looked at my interest statement from my former bank for last year and my January interest on my Ally account (received on the same day) - one month's interest at Ally was nearly half of the annual interest at my other bank. The account was easy to set up and is easy to access for review. The absence of a physical bank is no problem - I deposit money in my local bank and transfer it to Ally. I have never had to wait more than 1 or 2 minutes to talk to a customer representative - which is a lot less than with my other bank. I would highly recommend Ally for anyone who doesn't want to risk their savings in the stock market but wants to make more on their money than they would burying it in a coffee can in the back yard.

I think it should be easier to transfer money to my ally account. I can make deposits through the mail but want to transfer into the account. Interest rates are great and the set up was very easy.

it was easy to set up even tho i didnt like that there were no banks that i could go to but after i opened it my fears went away and i had a little problem with my bank and i called ally and they answered really quick and were very helpful and the rates are better then i can get at a credit union or anywhere else. ive had my accounts for 3 to 4 months and i have been getting so much interest compared to my other bank, i also have a CD that i would recommend to

When a direct deposit is made it doesn't show as an individual transaction - all I can see is the current total balance. This account is totally NOT user friendly. I will most likely cancel and transfer this savings account. It is too frustrating to work with!!!!!

I believe Ally's interest rate is very competitive but i wish that the rate would be displayed when i review my account... sometimes it is there for me to see other time i have a difficult time trying to find it,,,perhaps when i log off i will see it but i should not have this difficulty
