Ever since I opened this account, the interest rate has been going in reverse. I am unable to open a cd as there are plans for the funds in the account, besides, cd rates are not any better.

Interest rate keeps dropping. I hate to have to watch for these changes. Need to be vigilant like you are in the stock market. I changed from another bank to Ally for precisely this reason, and this one appears to be no better in this respect.

I'm glad that I made the switch to ally from my previous online bank. The interest kept dropping it seemed like monthly. Ally is pretty easy to use but they need to update there website and mobile app. That is the only complaint. Its not as smooth to navigate through as my other online banking

Ever since GMAC was transformed into Ally, the online banking has not displayed correctly in Google Chrome. One would expect the developers would notice by now, but no. Rather than changing my browser, I'll do my banking elsewhere.

I recently opened a savings account at Ally Bank. The customer service was excellent and professional. I would highly-recommend this on-line bank. I was somewhat skeptical in the beginning because of being on-line, but it is so convenient and their communication regarding my account is superb!

The high interest rate was the thing that drew me in to open an account. Sadly, for the 3 short months I've had the account the interest rate keeps dropping every month. I saw the same thing happen to HSBC who once offered outstanding interest rates, only to have them dwindle away to nothing over a period of time. Hoping Ally is not headed in the same direction. Otherwise, great online bank.

It's not Allys fault the FED is keeping interest rates low for their own purposes. Customer service at Ally deserves 10 stars and the rates are better than all of their competition. Looked at a big 4 bank lately? Quit posting 1 star reviews just because rates are low in this country right now.

I use their mobile app to check on finances, deposit checks, transfer funds and i use the debit card. I like it all, especially the interest rates. i had some people check Ally out and they are now using it with ease.

I like that I can transfer money back and forth to my other bank seamlessly. Ally offers more interest.

It's free, you earn interest that is compounded daily and paid out monthly, and you use it to back up your checking account in case of an overdraft. I really like the ability to move funds back and forth between my Interest Checking account and my Online Savings account. I never have to worry about an overdraft charge or transfer fee. I'm making money by having this account and I have never been charged a fee of any kind. If you have a checking account then there is no reason why you shouldn't open this savings account and use them together to gain interest and avoid overdrafting your checking.

Still not compatible with Google Chrome
