When the system is working it works great but when it does not it is a chore to get anything done. Customer service is spotty and when it is bad it is really bad.

I wish I had known how difficult it would be to use this account to pay others. PopMoney site only works about half the time and is often very slow. Had an account issue that has taken almost 20 days now to fix, so far every customer service agent who has "helped" hasn't done what they said they would. I also wish there was some sort of bill pay feature (or if there is, I cant find it) to make paying others more simple.

I have been nothing but happy with Ally's products and customer service. Whenever I call customer service, I always feel like I am appreciated as a customer, and my questions are always answered in a polite and timely manner. I actually work for a competing bank, but Ally has made me a very happy customer!

They keep dropping the interest rate - CIT now has a higher rate

I am really excited about my savings plan. I just wish the money didn't take 3 days to be transferred. It really makes me nervous if I need to transfer money OUT of Ally to another bank account in a hurry... that will never happen.

I bank mainly through my local Chase Bank, but Chase's interest rates are laughable if you have excess monies or savings in their bank, literally giving you THEIR two-cents' worth for monies in savings! I have my savings accounts with Ally because of the consistently higher (highest that I know of) interest it pays on my accounts, plus no fees charged! Gotta love that! (I had no experience with rating on "Online Banking" because I currently do not use this feature, but may in the future.)
