My comments apply to all of the CD products; I have six separate CD's with Ally now. Sure, interest rates are not great for savings anywhere now, but Allly has the best available. I particularly like the phone customer service helping me to open these accounts, and the thorough documentation I get in the mail. It takes just a fraction of the time to open an account with Ally that it used to take, sitting in a bank lobby waiting for an account rep; and the service is friendly and helpful. Good work, Ally!

Ally is a great place to keep a little extra cash on the sidelines for immediate use. Set up is simple as are transfers to our our other financial institutions. Rates are the best around with lots of upside (two % raises allowed) and low downside (small penalty just in case you need your cash)!

I have banked with Ally for a little over 3 years and find their CD rates are some of the best in the country. It is easier to open an account with Ally than with my local banks. Would highly recommend Ally's Raise Your Rate CD and other products as well..

The rates are somewhat less that what you could get from a good credit union, but you have the benefit of the raise your rate feature.

The NUMBEOUS TIMES I called the customer service people at Ally has caused me to CLOSE ALL MY ACCOUNT. There is NO UNDERSTANDING of the importance of a bank relationship. They talk as if they were reading from a prepared text and do NOT have he ability to problem solve. I have since had to establish myself with another banking institution.

I opened my raise-your-rate CD with Ally because of the good rate b- and intense advertising. I inadvertently messed up opening an account on line AND by mail - ending up with 2 accounts - with money in only one. Your customer service rep straightened it all out for me by phone - thoroughly and pleasantly. I am impressed and look forward to a long association with your bank.

I am pleased with the competitive rate and flexibility of my "Raise Your Rate CD". The only problems I had were around the account set up and transfer. Somehow my funds spent 2 days in cyberspace before being deposited into my ALLY account even through they had been removed from my local bank account. However now that the accounts are properly set up and the signature cards are signed and mailed, I expect things will work smoothly with my relationship with ALLY.

Terrible idea. Raise your rate CD. Rates are at an all time low. They isn't a possibility of raising your rate to a better rate in the limited time allowed. Don't waste your money and tie up your funds.
