Your representitive need more job training because he create big trouble to my account: When I open a online CD account, I can't find where to verify the two small depot Ally did to my bank account. I called, the rep told me said he will do it for me. He did the fund transfer twice. It make my checking account of citi bank overdraw. And the another credit card payment can't pay timely. City bank charge me penalties for the late payment fee and over drawing. I need to do a lot of call to fix these problem! So Terrible!!

I opened a 2-yr Raise your Rate CD because I liked the option of having a one-time rate increase (if rates go up). Since this was a joint acct., I encountered a problem getting a password and user name for my spouse (see my comments on the MMA product). I mailed a personal check and it was deposited into the account in 3 or 4 days which I believe is efficient for mail. Since I opened my acct., but before my check was deposited, the rates went down. However, with Ally's 10-day rate guarantee on CDs, I got the higher rate. And if I wish, I can check daily and watch my money grow because the account shows how much interest has accrued daily. I'm happy I made the switch to Ally.

I was able to set this up without a hitch, and (although CD rates are in the gutter everywhere) this is the best deal I could find after much searching.

Today was a second call in which the rep could not help me get a transfer set up with another bank to transfer a CD into ALLY bank.

The person who did the input of my application got my birthday wrong. They could not verify my identity then. Took over 3 weeks to get the account open. REPEATEDLY I was told I would be called back. FINALLY I demanded to talk to a supervisor. The interest rates went down during the process and I got the lower rate. This was just going to be my first CD. Turned out to be my last.
