The appearance of the new account screens are very nice, but function is poor. I made it through creating a new account but did not get feed back such as account Id. Moving on the the next Step, I selected a Product (CD) and funding through ACH - pressed Bank Verfiy and did not get a response. Could not navigate screen. Took three phone calls to Ally customer service- basically had to do the whole process via phone - What's the purpose of Online Application if it doesn't work. Also frustrating to have to go through each Step without knowing what is needed in the next step. Would be helpful to be able to preview all the steps(example screens would work). Customer service was quick and helpful and people seemed to care. But one glitch was they provided a non working password which blocked access. Another phone call...

Interesting concept, where one can opt to increase one's CD interest rate - once - in an increasing interest rate environment. In the current environment it is useless since rates are going down.

Not sure why a phone call is necessary to change types of cds but I really do appreciate the .25% bonus for renewing with you. So far you have been a great overall experience.

I like everything about Ally except the information shown when I look at my account summary page. On multiple occasions I have requested the addition of the CD interest accumilated to show a total at the bottom of the interest colunm. This would enable me to quickly view the interest change total from the previous day, week, etc. To date after a year of asking nothing has happened

The raise your rate CD, with a low opening balance and a chance to actually make a little bit of interest, is an awesome way to force myself to keep my hands out of my savings. I love this product!

You opened a 12 month CD instead of an 18 month when I elected re-deposit. This was after I made the effort to confirm my telephone conversation with an email to your customer service department!!!

Accounts are easy to open online. Navigating the Ally website is a breeze. (The live chat was slow to get any answers.) When you renew your CD's they give you a 10 day best rate and they automatically give you a .25% increase for staying with them and renewing. In these times, it can add up and your money continues to grow at a better rate.

The coolest part of this type of CD is two fold, you have the option to have the interest rate earned on an existing 2 year CD raised if interest offered goes up and receiving a loyality bonus for maintainin your CD when it matures for another 2 years.
