Personal Auto Finance FAQs

  • What is Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC)?

Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) combines the best advantages of buying and leasing – ownership with flexibility. You own the vehicle but can prepay your outstanding financing obligations by selling the vehicle to Ally before the end of your contract term, on the Special Prepayment Date.

  • How does the Special Prepayment feature work?

At the Special Prepayment Date, you can:

    1. Prepay by selling the vehicle to Ally for the predetermined price set at the time of signing an ABC contract rider (price is subject to a disposition fee and any excess vehicle wear and mileage charges; see the contract rider for details)
    2. Do nothing – keep making the scheduled payments

Remember, you also can trade-in your vehicle at any time during the contract.

  • How does Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) differ from buying or leasing?

Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) provides flexibility to fit lifestyle changes with the choice to sell your vehicle to Ally. It puts you in control of the decision to keep or sell the vehicle. And it can provide both shorter and longer term vehicle ownership at your discretion. ABC is only available for eligible GM and Chrysler brand vehicles and at participating dealerships.

  • I'm approaching my 48th Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) payment. What are my options?

At the 48th month of your ABC contract, you have two options:

    1. Prepay by selling the vehicle to Ally at the predetermined price set at the time of signing an ABC contract rider (price is subject to a disposition fee and any excess vehicle wear and mileage charges; see the contract rider for details)
    2. Do nothing and continue to make your scheduled payments.
  • Can I change my mind after the Special Prepayment Date and still sell the vehicle to Ally?

No. You can only sell the vehicle to Ally on the Special Prepayment Date. However, you can investigate trade in opportunities with your dealer. See your dealer for details.

  • What if the market value of the vehicle is higher than the predetermined selling price?

If this is the case on your Special Prepayment Date, you can choose to keep the vehicle and continue making your scheduled payments or see your dealer to trade in the vehicle at a price you negotiate with your dealer.

  • How do I find a participating dealership?

Ally Buyer's Choice is available at all participating GM and Chrysler dealers in the U.S.; except in Nevada. To get the location of a dealership near you, call 1-888-925-ALLY (2559).

  • What if Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) hasn't been rolled out in my state yet? What are my options?

If Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC) is not yet available in your state, your local dealer would be happy to discuss other helpful financing and leasing options from Ally.

  • Who do I contact if I have questions about Ally Buyer's Choice (ABC)?

Just visit a participating GM or Chrysler brand dealership or call 1-888-925-ALLY (2559).
