Profile FAQs

  • How do I request access to an application?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Log in to the Ally Auto dashboard, then select the My Profile link.

    Step 2
    Select the View/Request Applications tab, then the Request application access link.

    Step 3
    Select the applications for which you would like access, complete the requested information, then select submit.

  • How do I remove an application?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Access the User ID Request form.

    Step 2
    Select Remove application access and complete the information indicated. You will receive an on-screen confirmation after you submit.

    Note: You will be asked to provide a Primary Dealer Number (PDN), which is a unique identifying number assigned to a dealership by Ally. Check with your dealership’s office manager if you do not know the number.

  • How do I edit my user profile information?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Log in to the Ally Auto dashboard, then select the My Profile link.

    Step 2
    Select the View Profile tab, then the Edit profile link.

    Step 3
    Make your edits, then select save.

  • How do I update my email address?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Log in to the Ally Auto Dealer Services dashboard, then select the My Profile link.

    Step 2
    Select the View Profile tab, then the Edit profile link.

    Step 3
    Make your updates then select save.

  • How do you protect my dealership’s information?

    At Ally, we are committed to your online security.

    • Whenever a dealership employee contacts us (by phone or online), we work to protect the dealership’s data and accounts by asking the employee for information that only they should know.
    • Our processes are designed to confirm the employee’s identity before we ever allow them online access.
    • We use technologies such as firewalls (which help protect systems from intrusion) and encryption (scrambling of information) to provide a high level of protection.
    We train our employees about the importance of protecting your dealership’s information, and we regularly evaluate our security tools and procedures.
  • How do I change my password?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Log in to the Ally Auto dashboard, then select the My Profile link.

    Step 2
    Select the View Profile tab, then the Change password link.

    Step 3
    Input your current password and your desired new password, then select submit.

  • How do I change my online challenge questions?

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1
    Log in to the Ally Auto dashboard, then select the My Profile link.

    Step 2
    Select the View Profile tab, then the Edit profile link.

    Step 3
    Make your changes, then select save.
