A 1979 graduate of Rawlins High School in Rawlins, Ward began as a technician at McGee-Murphy Ford, also in Rawlins, in 1980. After five years, he was named the service manager and five years later, he shifted to sales. By 1991, he was promoted to general manager of the dealership and in 2001, he became fixed operations director at Skyline Motors in Rawlins before purchasing Dallin Motors in 2005.
Ward has been a member of the Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association for more than two decades, and has served as president, vice president and board member for the group’s board of directors, as well as NADA PAC chairman from Wyoming, a position he will hold through 2019.
He is also a member of the Rawlins Lion Club, where he was named president twice, and the Rawlins Elks Lodge.
Ward was nominated for the TIME Dealer of the Year award by Marsha Allen, executive vice president of the Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association. He and his wife, Susann, have two children and four grandchildren.
