You can apply for an Ally Credit Card if you received an offer from us online or by mail.
If you make a payment before 11:59 pm ET, we'll credit you for it that day even though it may take another 1 or 2 days to process and reflect in your current balance.
Sometimes it can take up to 7 days for your available credit to increase by the amount of your payment.

The fastest, easiest way to make a payment is in the Ally Credit Card mobile app or online.
Mail works too. Send your check to:

Make sure to write your account number on your check and to mail it 7-10 days before the payment due date to allow for delivery and processing.
This happens either one of two ways: you missed a payment, or you didn’t pay the full minimum amount due.
To set up Autopay on the Web, log in to your Snapshot. Then, select Payments, then Credit Cards, then, Enroll in Autopay.
On our app, log in, then select the credit card account you’re setting up Autopay for. Select Account Summary, then tap the Menu button. Select Payments, then, Enroll in Autopay.
Once you have Autopay set up, the Enroll in Autopay link changes to Manage Autopay—go there to manage your Autopay settings.
Reach out to the merchant if you think you made the transaction but don’t remember all the details.
