Since the beginning, we’ve focused on delivering a digital experience that allows our customers to bank on their terms. We’re there for our customers 24/7 – always online and by phone. And we continue to evolve our model to stay up to date with emerging technology.

And now, we’re virtually everywhere– with one innovative banking experience across all of your devices.

The Ally SkillSM for Amazon Alexa

Artificial intelligence is not new to Ally. We were one of the first U.S. companies to have an AI-powered virtual assistant when Ally Bank launched Ally AssistSM a few years ago. Now we’re continuing to leverage AI to allow our customers to bank with a technology-first approach on their Amazon Alexa device.

The Ally Skill℠ for Amazon Alexa is our newest offering that will allow Ally Bank customers to manage their accounts with voice commands – even from across the room. You say the word, and Alexa can check your balance, make a transfer, list recent transactions, or read our latest rates.

You can also use your Amazon Alexa device to make smarter, more informed buying decisions with Ally CurrenSee. Just ask Ally about the price of an item, and we’ll tell you how many hours of work equal that amount. In order to provide an accurate answer, Alexa will ask for your annual income and how many hours you work weekly, but keep in mind that we won’t ever save or share that information!

Anyone with an Ally Bank account can use the Ally Skill for Amazon Alexa. Learn more about how to enable the skill at

Say It Right

Once you have the Ally Skill enabled, all you have to do is say the word. To get started, say “Alexa, open Ally.”

To use the Ally Skill, it’s important to make sure you’re pronouncing our name right. To clear up any confusion: we’re the type of ally that has your back. (It’s not short for Allison – it’s pronounced al-lie, not al-lee.) Just remember that we’re your financial ally, as in a friend, teammate, or someone you’re in alliance with.

Everyday Innovation at Your Fingertips

Facial Recognition

We think that managing your money should be as easy as possible. That’s why the Ally Mobile app now supports Face ID on the iPhone X. This innovative feature can be used as an alternative to Touch ID for iPhone X users, and provides a quick and easy way to log into the Ally Mobile app.

Ally Card Controls

Beyond using AI for things like Ally Assist and the Ally Skill for Amazon Alexa, we’re focused on delivering the tools you need to manage your money anytime, and from anywhere. We recently introduced Ally Card Controls to help you take control of your debit card. Ally Card Controls can help you establish spending limits, set up push notifications, and apply various preferences to your debit card usage.

We also offer the convenience of person-to-person technology to all of our Interest Checking, Online Savings and Money Market Account customers with Zelle®. This feature makes it easy to transfer money quickly to almost anyone with a U.S. mobile phone number or email address, even when you’re on the go.

We see these enhancements as a great opportunity to create improved convenience and security for you. So, we’ve committed ourselves to tirelessly innovate to keep our banking experience top-notch whether you’re at home, on your phone, on the go, or across the room.
