Ally believes everyone deserves a path to financial stability, security and growth. We are committed to reducing barriers to economic mobility and fostering financial and social inclusion through our grants and sponsorships.

Below is guidance for those interested in financial support from Ally for programs and initiatives that promote a brighter financial future in the communities we serve.

Ally Charitable Foundation Grants

At Ally, our purpose is to advance economic mobility and reduce inequities through innovative philanthropy and programing that inspires social change, with a focus on affordable housing, financial education and workforce development.

To apply for a grant, a nonprofit organization must meet the following criteria:

Application Guidelines and Checklist

Grant applications are accepted Monday, February 6 through Monday, March 20, 2023, 11:59pm EST. All applications must be submitted on time to be considered for funding. Your grant proposal must provide the following documentation that demonstrates programmatic impact in the community:

Evaluation and Review

The grant application process is approximately 12 weeks from application opening to decisioning. All organizations will receive a formal email notification once their applications have been decisioned. All nonprofits who receive grant funding are required to submit a Program Impact Report within 30 days of the program’s completion as indicated on the application. The Impact Report must include detailed information on the program’s impact to the community.  

Ally Financial Sponsorships

Ally values the opportunity to support community organizations through event and programmatic sponsorships. We welcome sponsorship requests aligning with our vision of being a relentless ally in our communities, focusing on economic mobility, social equity and inclusion, and other community services.

To apply for a sponsorship, an organization must meet the following criteria:

Application Evaluation Process

Requests for sponsorship are accepted on a rolling basis. Please submit requests a minimum of 10 weeks before your event. The evaluation process is approximately 10 weeks, and all organizations receive a formal email notification once an application decision has been made.
