How long will it take for my personal check to clear?

Personal checks take 3 business days to clear for trading from the day of posting. Cashier checks are available for trading as soon as we receive and post them.

Keep in mind, the name on the check will need to match the registration on the Ally Invest account. We don't accept third-party deposits (checks payable to Apex Clearing from non-account holders or checks where a recipient makes an endorsement over to Apex Clearing). We also don't accept money orders or starter checks.

Do you offer checks and debit cards for your invest accounts?

No, Ally Invest doesn't currently offer checks or debit cards, but you can open an Ally Bank Interest Checking Account, which comes with free checks and a debit card.
