In general, Trusts are considered professional subscribers of market data. In some cases, a family Trust, operated by a single trustee who is not compensated for their services, may qualify as a non-professional subscriber. Please contact us for more information.

You need to complete the exchange market data agreements and log in to upload them to us.
We'll send these agreements to the appropriate exchanges. Once we are authorized to entitle your account, we will turn on the real-time data. Please allow 10 business days for processing. In the meantime, you will have access to delayed market data in your account.

Ally Invest offers an extensive list of technical studies and indicators to apply in charted format, which you can view by logging in to your account and selecting your Investments. Next, choose Tools. Then, select Charts, and choose Studies.

No, delayed data is provided at no cost.

Yes. These can be set up logging in, selecting Tools and then Alerts. On this page, you will be required to select a symbol, trigger, condition, and price. This alert will be generated as a pop-up online while you are logged in.

Yes, if you wish to subscribe to real-time market data, you will need to complete the exchange agreements. If you do not complete the agreements, you will have access to our market data that is delayed at least 15 minutes.

The exchanges consider you a professional market data subscriber if any of the following items are true:
- You use market data for anything other than personal, non-business use
- Your account is opened as a business or other entity
- You are currently registered or qualified with the SEC or the CFTC
- You are currently registered or qualified with any securities agency, any securities exchange, association or regulatory body, or any commodities or futures contract market, association or regulatory body, in the United States or elsewhere
- You are located within or outside of the United States and you perform functions that are similar to those that require an individual to register or qualify with the SEC, the CFTC, any other securities agency, any other securities exchange, or association or regulatory body, or any commodities or futures contract market, or association or regulatory body
- You are engaged to provide investment advice to any individual or entity
- You are engaged as an asset manager
- You use the capital of any other individual or entity in the conduct of your trading
- You conduct trading for the benefit of a corporation, partnership, or other entity
- You entered into any agreement to share the profit of your trading activities or receive compensation for your trading activities
- You are receiving office space, and equipment or other benefits in exchange for your trading or work as a financial consultant to any person, firm or business entity
- You conduct trading for the benefit of a corporation, partnership, LLC, tax-exempt organization, trust or other entity

Yes. Each exchange charges a monthly fee for access to their real-time market data. The total monthly charge for the major exchanges is $120.50.
You will be billed directly from the NYSE and OPRA for options data. Ally Invest will charge your account for Nasdaq and OTC Markets. The exchange data is not currently available from Ally Invest separately. The breakdown of charges by exchange is:

Yes, all Ally Invest customers have access to Ally Invest LIVE, which offers streaming quotes to non-professional users. Quotestream is also available to customers that trade more than 10 times per month by request.

Are you employed or registered in any capacity with the US Securities and Exchange Commission or the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission? D. Are you currently registered or qualified with any securities agency, any securities exchange, association or regulatory body, or any commodities or futures contract market, association or regulatory body, in the United States or elsewhere? Are you registered or qualified in any capacity with the securities industry In the United States or abroad? E. Whether you are located within or outside of the United States, do you perform any functions that are similar to those that require an individual to register or qualify with the SEC, the CFTC, any other securities agency or regulatory body, any securities exchange or association, or any commodities or futures contract market, association or regulatory body? Are you employed or registered in any capacity with an organization involved in operating securities markets or regulating securities markets of any kind and in any country? Are you compensated by a third party or other individual in any way for your trading activity? Keep in mind, when we say "compensated", it may not necessarily be in the form of cash payment. -
The real-time quotes feature is automatically enabled for all funded, non-professional accounts (accounts in which the primary holder is not registered with any commodities or securities exchange commissions, not engaged as an "investment advisor," or not employed by an organization exempt from federal registration to perform functions that would normally require such registration). This feature reflects the latest security prices, which instantly update as soon as a price changes.
While real-time quotes are unavailable on our mobile app, streaming quotes are available for all funded, non-professional accounts. Streaming quotes are not quite reflected in real-time—they update every 3-5 seconds. Enable streaming quotes by logging into Ally Invest Live on our mobile app, selecting Settings, then Enable Streaming Quotes.
