Before you scan your check
It's important that your check is filled out and endorsed the right way.
Prepare Your Check
Front of the check
Before you scan your check, there are a few things you need to review.
Move your cursor over the text balloons to see how the front of your check should be filled out.
The check is payable to you or to Ally Bank.
The check isn't more than 6 months old and isn't post-dated.
Make sure the numbers and words written for the amount of the check match.
Draw a small dot (about the size of a pencil eraser) in each corner of the check to help your scanner judge the size.

It's important to endorse your check the right way.

Your endorsement needs to have:
- Your signature
- "For Deposit Only" written below your signature
